The Department of Defense has identified 3,818 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:

CADY, Frank L. III, 20, Specialist, Army; Sacramento; First Infantry Division.

IWASINSKI, Kenneth J., 22, Pfc., Army; West Springfield, Mass.; Second Infantry Division.

KOUTROUBAS, Jason B., 21, Specialist, Army; Dunnellon, Fla.; First Cavalry Division.

MARTIN, Thomas M., 27, First Lt., Army; Ward, Ark.; 25th Infantry Division.

MONSCHKE, Justin S., 28, Sgt. First Class, Army; Krum, Tex.; Third Special Forces Group (Airborne).
